Meet Sacred Ceramics Art

My work examines spirituality and the self; the belief that human beings exist in both body and spirit. Our souls have continuity beyond the vessel that is the body, and our inner states create our outer world. I use mystical, botanical, and fungal imagery to explore themes of growth, awakening, and grief.

Each sculpture represents a spiritual guide or deity of my own creation. Many emerge from my personal experiences and my evolving understanding of self and the natural world. Others take mutational form: hands growing from heads, multiplying eyes and limbs, suggesting a state of perpetual becoming rather than completion. Growth within this work is neither linear nor polished, but necessary and intuitive. My process of coil building is ritualistic and meditative, allowing energy to flow freely from my hands into the earthen clay. Through this act of making, the work becomes a channel for divine creativity and expanded consciousness.
